Is the subscription to Maintenance Plan mandatory?

Subscription to our software maintenance is not mandatory.  However, having a valid Software Maintenance Plan is the only way to ensure you receive priority support and save money on acquiring the latest versions of Navicat. A valid plan is strictly required to enjoy perks like free major version upgrades, technical support, and license support.

The software maintenance plan also helps you saving your cost on acquiring the latest version of Navicat. An Upgrade License of Navicat costs 50% of the product price, while price of Software Maintenance is as low as 16% of the product price, allowing you to get free major software release without any additional cost.
