How to configure AI Assistant that is compatible with OpenAI?

This article describes how to set up the AI Assistant using any third-party AI service that is compatible with OpenAI API.

Obtain API Key

Before starting, you must obtain an API Key and the API Host URL from your chosen AI service provider.

Configure AI Assistant in Navicat

1. In the menu bar, choose Tools -> Options.
2. Select AI and check Enable AI Assistant.
3. Click + and select OpenAI Compatible.
4. Enter the name of the AI Assistant in AI Assistant Name.
5. Enter the API host address in API Host.
6. Insert the generated key into API Key.
7. Choose the model you want to use.
8. Adjust the randomness of the generated output by AI Assistant in Temperature.
9. Enter the instruction to set the tone and rules for the conversation.
10. Click Test Connection to check the settings.
11. Click OK to save the changes.
