This article describes how to set up the AI ​​Assistant using Google Gemini.

Obtain API Key for Google Gemini

1. Log in the Google Cloud Platform.
2. Navigate to the Google Cloud Console.
3. Search Gemini API and click Enable.
4. Navigate to the Credentials page.
5. Click Create credentials and select API Key to generate a new key.

Configure AI Assistant in Navicat

1. In the menu bar, choose Tools -> Options.
2. Select AI and check Enable AI Assistant.
3. Click + and select Google Gemini.
4. Enter the name of the AI Assistant in AI Assistant Name.
5. Enter the API host address in API Host.
6. Insert the generated key into API Key.
7. Choose the model you want to use.
8. Adjust the randomness of the generated output by AI Assistant in Temperature.
9. Enter the instruction to set the tone and rules for the conversation.
10. Click Test Connection to check the settings.
11. Click OK to save the changes.
