MySQL server 5.0.3 or above support VARCHAR length up to 65535. If you try to import a field data greater than that, please use TEXT, MEDIUMTEXT or LONGTEXT field instead.

Note: If your server enables SQL strict mode, you will receive 'Data too long for column...' error. Otherwise, a VARCHAR field with length greater than 65535 will convert to TEXT type.
