How can I synchronize a model to different server types?

Apply OS: Windows, Mac, Linux

Apply Navicat Product: Navicat Data Modeler

Apply Navicat Version No.: Version 1.x or above

Version 1.x

In Navicat Data Modeler 1.x, you can choose server type for the model. For example, when you create a model for Oracle schema, you can change it to a model for MySQL database. Navicat Data Modeler will convert fields to relevant field types, according to server type.

After changing the server type, apply the Synchronize to Database feature to synchronize the model to the target database/schema.

Windows & Linux

Select Model -> Database from the main menu and choose desired server type.

Mac

Select Edit -> Database from the main menu and choose desired server type.

Version 2.x

In Navicat Data Modeler 2.x, you can apply the Model Conversion feature to convert the model to another server type. Select File -> Model Conversion from the main menu and choose desired database type and version.

Then apply the Synchronize to Database feature to synchronize the model to the target database/schema.
