What are the differences between Model tab and Diagram tab in the left pane?

The Model tab holds all the tables and views** in the model, including the tables and views used in each individual diagram. And, the Diagram tab holds all the objects (tables, views, foreign keys, layers, notes, labels, etc) added to the active diagram.

** Views are supported in version 11.2 or above.
