To set the limit of records / documents displayed per table / collection, you can find the icon_setting.png icon at the right lower corner of the table / collection opened. Click the icon once, then you are able to fill in the number you would like to limit.

If you would like to make it as a global change to all tables / collections:

  • For Windows and Linux 11.2 or below, please go to Tools > Options > Appearance > Data & Grid. For version 12 or above, please go to Tools > Options > Records. Then, check the box Limit Records and fill it the numbers of records you would like to be displayed.

  • For macOS 8.x or above, please go to Navicat xxx > Preferences / Settings > Grids / Records tab, check the in the box Limit Records and fill it the numbers of records you would like to be displayed.

Please be reminded that the Limit Records checkbox in Options, Preferences or Settings window is a global setting. It will only affect those tables / collections that you haven't set individual limit settings in the viewer.

Assumed you opened an existing table before. For the next time you opened the same table again, the limit record setting will be only based on the table view setting.
