I received an error 'Finished Unsuccessfully - Failure Opening File'

Users mostly receive this error when running Navicat by a non-administrator account under Microsoft Windows.
If a user is using a non-administrative account to run Navicat, in order to perform the backup successfully, the Setting Save Path/Settings Location should be set to a location other than the "Program Files" directory. For example, set the Setting Save Path/Settings Location to C:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\localhost.
The Setting Save Path/Settings Location can be found at the Advanced tab of the Connection window.
