How can I synchronize a model to different server types?
updated at
Apply OS: Windows, macOS, Linux
Apply Navicat Product: Navicat Premium
Apply Navicat Version No.: Version 10.x or above
In Navicat Premium, you can choose server type for the model. For example, when you create a model for Oracle schema, you can change it to a model for MySQL database. Navicat will convert fields to relevant field types, according to server type.
Note: Model does not support MongoDB.
Version 11.1 or below:
In Model Designer, select Model/Edit -> Database from the model's menu and choose desired server type.
After changing the server type, apply the Synchronize to Database feature to synchronize the model to the target database/schema.
Version 11.2 or above:
You can apply the Model Conversion feature to convert the model to another server type. Select File -> Model Conversion / Convert Model To from the model's menu and choose desired database type and version.
Then apply the Synchronize to Database feature to synchronize the model to the target database/schema.
